The dictionary was launched in March 2009. However, the short period of existence doesn´t influence their growth that walks in stride with a potential immeasurable. In just over 7 months, the dictionary has earned nearly 450 000 visits and over 2 million of pages viewed monthly.
These numbers don´t exist by chance. Besides the optimization work performed constantly for our staff, the dictionary has won more partners, expanding considerably from month to month, the commercial potential of their pages.
Today, the dictionary is positioned on the front page of the major Internet search engines, including Google, with words of great importance to the educational segment, such as "dictionary" "English dictionary" "Portuguese dictionary, but words also relevant to many other segments, totaling somewhere around 118 000 results.
The dictionary still has a very large number of users accessing the site directly, ie users who fix the mark "Dicionario Web" and began using the tool daily.
This new version of dictionary was released on November 16, 2009. The database went from 180 000 to 3 million of entries. In addition to the entries in Portuguese and English, were also included Spanish, Italian, French and German translations. With this expansion, the trend is that the Web Dictionary grow even more and certainly soon will occupy a prominent place among the great Internet tools.
